Match your values with our VA service helping you remotely
Data Protection and client confidentiality are important to us. Managing various levels of classified materials for the Royal Hong Kong Police taught Qwerty Girl this value.
Second nature for a person whose early career and training was in the Hong Kong Hospitality industry.
Capable of admitting when something goes wrong (none of us is perfect).
A varied career in the hospitality industry; the private sector (Hong Kong); and public sector (NHS, UK); educational institutions (primary and secondary schools, Hong Kong and the UK); even the charity sector (teaching English to asylum seekers and refugees).
Roles have encompassed sales and marketing; customer service; research and development associate; teaching; supervisory and purchasing as well as personal assistant to CEO’s; Department/Team secretary and freelance audio transcription; and entrepreneur. Great experience for fine tuning the variety of skills required by a good VA service.
It helps to believe anything is possible, given the proper amount of time, resources and planning.
Successfully promoted, organised and regularly escorted a group of female asylum seekers and refugees from ethnic minority backgrounds to a public swimming pool in Hampshire – demonstrating that ‘This Girl Can’ (seen that advert?)! Most of the women had never been in a pool and were uncomfortable with male lifeguards… yet we overcame these challenges and many learned to swim!
Qwerty Girl VA has faced similar, stressful challenges. As a busy parent, she started up a small business in hydroponics and was growing it… (no pun intended), whilst pregnant too. Soon afterwards, she had to organize a family relocation – across the world; and then, barely settled, she embarked upon and achieved a BSc (Hons) degree. That involved meeting a lot of deadlines, whilst rearing her young family.
Keen to develop long-term, mutually successful client relationships, working together toward the same goals. A naturally independent worker, your success is hers, so as far as Qwerty Girl is concerned, you and she are the ‘A-Team’.

What makes Qwerty Girl unique?
Love of learning with an ability to learn quickly
A love of learning (especially anything different and ‘new) and ability to learn quickly. Aptitude for communicating with people of different cultures, from all walks of life. Speaks Cantonese pretty well – surprising where this comes in handy!
Qwerty Girl’s previous training and experience as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) combined with her secretarial skills and ‘eye for detail’ are an asset when proof-reading high-level academic work written by foreign students. Relevantly for academic staff, these skills are similarly invaluable when preparing teaching resources.
Equally, Qwerty Girl is comfortable teaching/training individuals or small groups (whether in a classroom setting or online).
Passionate about personal development and growth, especially through learning, Qwerty Girl believes the Energy Emotional Freedom Techniques (EEFT or ‘Tapping’) she practices herself would especially benefit small business owners. Anybody who feels overwhelmed by how much they have to do, however, could benefit from this fabulous self-empowerment tool.
Finally, Qwerty Girl has global connections to draw upon, should the need arising during the course of her work. And, whilst she currently lives in the UK, she maintains Hong Kong residency – which makes her a natural choice of connection for those living in Hong Kong/southern China who may be planning to visit Southern England for either academic or business purposes.
Qwerty Girl’s secretarial (Microsoft Office Plus Diploma) and Social Media Marketing for Business Qualifications are up-to-date and have been achieved to industry standards with the internationally recognised Pitman Training. She has relevant professional membership and support.
